STEP 1

Client and Builder Meeting

An introductory meeting to discuss all things building, budget, timeframes and expectations.

STEP 2

Concept Drawings

The design stage begins by drafting a vision for both the client and team. A draftsperson/designer or architect sketches initial ideas to express the concept for the project.

STEP 3

Assessments and Reports

A BAL, Geo-Technical and Feature Survey are performed. This coincides with the concept development stage and through to the final working drawing stages.

STEP 4

Preliminary Costing Proposal

The builder and client establish a preliminary costing estimate to ensure the design meets the clients budget. It is then altered as required or the budget manipulated to suit the end goal.

STEP 5

Working Drawings and Engineering

The drawings are finalised to suit the clients preliminary discussions. All building specifications are also finalised at this point, and structural engineering may begin.

STEP 6

Quote and Contract Signing

A meeting is held to discuss final costs. If successful, both parties sign a Master Builders Contract. This is issued during the build, for the lender, the Shire and the Builders Indemnity Insurance.

STEP 7

Building Work Begins

Once all of the above steps are completed, the build process begins on site.
